2019

A Brand New Day

With an amazing roster on on-house talent and world-class guest artists working out of the studio, Grapevine expands one more. By moving into a much larger and more optimal space, Grapevine is able to bring in even more artists to do transformative work.

October 2019

Davis joins the Grapevine family, beginning his apprenticeship.

July 2019

Always pushing their own limits, Grapevine performs their first four-artist collaboration, featuring Mendoza, Andre, Andy and Michi. The work embodies the spirit of connection and collective effort that Grapevine has come to stand for.

April 2019

Mendoza and the Grapevine team attends their first tattoo convention as a studio: The Vancouver Tattoo Show.

March 2019

Grapevine moves into their newest location at 438 Main St, a beautiful space that finally achieves the vision the team has always had for the studio.

January 2019

Mendoza is a guest on Lael Hansen’s YouTube channel, doing a face tattoo.

2018

Each Day, A New Leaf

Grapevine continues to expand to a full team of five permanent artists. The added space allows Grapevine to do something extraordinary: we begin welcoming incredibly talented guest artists as often as possible. They do amazing work out of the studio, and we learn so much from each guest.

December 2018

Mendoza co-founds Arctic Circle, a new artist's collective, with Mendoza, Andrei and Andy. Jordy and Bryan joined the collective shortly after, growing the collective into a family.

October 2018

We welcome Lucy to the team, as she begins her apprenticeship.

June 2018

Mendoza, Andrei and Andy Destroy team up to create an epic, award-winning back piece at the Victoria Tattoo Expo. These three artists collaborate so well together that they will later form the artist collective Arctic Circle.

June 2018

Mendoza attends his first tattoo convention: The Toronto Tattoo Show. There, Mendoza and Andre collaborate on a full sleeve.

March 2018

Grapevine takes the plunge, and moves from their first location on Broadway, to Main Street.

September 2018

Mendoza, Jordy and Andrei win an award for their collaborative back piece.

2017

Spreading Our Wings

Mendoza and his team finally outgrow their humble salon beginnings. and in March, they open their own space: the first Grapevine location at Broadway and Fraser in Mt Pleasant.

A new apprentice, Taylor, joins Grapevine
